Today I lunged Jazz myself whilst Mandy rode Pride in the next field. Jazz messed around although she behaved perfectly when I was tacking her up and grooming her. She kept bucking and wasn’t listening to me and she kept changing direction. I got a few good circuits out of her so I stopped her and took the reins off to allow her to stretch her neck and back muscles. I then stopped her again to take the legs of her but she barged me out of the way so I sent her back out and made her trot around a few circuits. I then asked her to stop and tried to take the legs off. Again she barged into me, so I got her trot around again. We did this a few times until Jazz realised what she had to do. I had to make sure that she didn’t barge me because it would be dangerous if I came off her whilst we were out hacking and she barged me out of the way and ran off especially if it was on a busy road.
